Our Geography & Heritage
Olamaboro is a prominent Local Government Area in Kogi State, Nigeria, with its administrative headquarters situated in the vibrant town of Okpo. Established to bring governance closer to the grass roots, Olamaboro is bounded by Enugu and Benue states, making it a strategic border gateway.
The LGA comprises three principal ancestral districts: Okpo, Ogugu, and Imane. Each district is characterized by a strong Igala cultural heritage, language, and warm hospitality, with farming and trading serving as the economic bedrock of our communities.

To establish Olamaboro LGA as Kogi State's premier hub of agricultural enterprise and commerce, driven by transparent administration, infrastructure development, and citizen-first municipal services.
Our Mission
To empower local farmers, upgrade primary health clinics, construct durable feeder roads, and implement digitized administrative processes that guarantee institutional accountability.
